Look at the world around you. Do you like what you see? Is this an ideal environment or could this model be refined? If you were given a blank slate, what would YOU create?

Gaiaville is a template or blueprint for the city of tomorrow that seeks to change our world. It is a green and sustainable, zero carbon footprint intentional village, where being green is not limited to architecture and building systems, but is rooted in an understanding of the interdependence, and co-enrichment of all life and ecosystems.

All life on our planet is interconnected and needs to maintain balance and equilibrium in order to assure sustainability and survival. Nature has its ways of linking all species and ecosystems together.

butterflyThe interdependence of all species is a fact that humans, the dominant species on the planet, can no longer ignore. When one species goes extinct or one ecosystem is destroyed, equilibrium is disrupted, causing a domino effect that degrades the chance of survival for the remaining species. This is the Gaia principle: that all species and ecosystems are interdependent, and the balance of these ecosystems is essential.

Pierre R. Dubois is Gaiaville's founder. He holds two advanced degrees from Columbia University and is a practicing architect, focused primarily on nonprofit affordable housing.

Pierre R Dubois He grew up on the Caribbean island of Haiti and was raised by a single, middle-class mother who instilled him with a great thirst for knowledge. He applied himself and excelled in the curriculum of the Platonic model of education common in Western countries, but he found this knowledge often conflicted with the spiritual and supernatural beliefs of the island’s indigenous culture in which he was exposed. Thus, early on, Pierre sought to explain in a scientific manner the magic that he witnessed around him.
